In many cases, scars heal themselves by the virtue of the normal cell renewal process. But we can achieve better and faster results if we choose the right natural products. How to remove pimple marks? Try the simple, natural solutions below and you will see a gradual improvement in the appearance of the skin.
How to remove pimple marks
1. Massage
Wash your hands with antibacterial soap and gently massage the scars with your fingers in circular movements. Massage pressure increases blood circulation. The blood carries oxygen and antibodies that help in the healing of the scar. Wash your hands before you massage to avoid creating new acne.
2. Eggs
Break 2-3 eggs and pour the egg whites into a bowl. Rub the problematic area with a thin layer of egg whites. Let the skin absorb it for 10 minutes. Egg whites are rich in nutrients, which are beneficial for healing scars. Repeat three times a day.
3. Cucumber
Take advantage of the beneficial ingredients of cucumber! Cut the cucumbers into small pieces. Place the pieces in a blender until the cucumbers are mashed. Apply the cucumber juice to the scar. Cucumbers add moisture to the scar and help it heal. Cucumbers also add elasticity to the skin. Let the cucumber mash on the juice, if feasible, for a whole day. Apply the juice twice a day.
4. Baking Soda
The best peeling is made with baking soda! Throw a teaspoon of baking soda in your palm of your hands. Soak the area around the scar with water. Rub the baking soda in the affected area. Baking soda removes the layers of dead skin cells from your scar. Use baking soda twice a week or even more often if you see that it does not cause you any dryness.
5. Lemon juice
This fruit is rich in citric acid, has natural bleaching properties which lightens the color of scars, and vitamin C, which restores the natural complexion and color of the skin. Before treatment with lemon you should clean your skin well and then use some cotton soaked in lemon juice and apply it on the scar. Leave the lemon for 10 minutes until it is completely dry. Then rinse the skin with lukewarm water. If you have sensitive skin, mix an equal amount of lemon juice and water and spread it topically on the scars, not on the rest of the skin. Immediately after, apply your Caviar of Switzerland moisturizing cream, the award winning 24h Regenerating Cream, as the lemon is acidic and dries the skin.
6. Honey
Honey has antimicrobial properties. So it soothes the skin and fights inflammation. Honey is ideal for sensitive skin as it does not cause irritation or dryness. Honey nourishes the skin, accelerates the healing of the wounds, regenerates the tissues and exfoliates the scars. You can apply it directly onto the scars using a cotton swab or stir two tablespoons of honey with two tablespoons of baking soda and apply the mixture directly onto the scar. Dip a small towel in warm water and place it where you have applied the blend. Wait until the towel has cooled down and then thoroughly clean the skin.
7. Aloe Vera
One of the best tips on how to remove pimple marks! Aloe rejuvenates and deeply hydrates the skin. You can get the juice directly from the plant or buy aloe gel from the pharmacy. Apply directly to the scars and do not rinse with water.
8. Olive oil
Just like lemon, olive oil also has the ability to lighten the skin tone. This effect is possible due to its content of unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins E and K. You should massage the scar with olive oil for at least five minutes and let it work all night.
How to Prevent Pimple Marks
1. Stay away from the sun
Exposing scars to the sun can make them dark and slow the healing process. Ultraviolet radiation stimulates melanocytes (the dye-producing cells), leading to further discoloration. Before going out of the house, apply a wide range sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or higher.
2. Do not pop pimples
If you want to find out how to remove pimple marks, the first step is not to create them. Scars, which consist mainly of collagen, are your body’s way of self-repair. Acne scars usually create “dents” due to collagen loss from intense inflammation. Also, if you pop the pimples, you cause more inflammation and injury to your skin, which increases discoloration and scarring. Squeezing or trying to pop a pimple causes the pus and bacteria to get deeper into the skin, causing more damage to collagen.
CAUTION: Do not use pure vitamin E on scars. You may have heard that applying vitamin E to a scar will help heal faster. But according to a study by the University of Miami, this method has opposite effects and prevents healing. In the study, vitamin E either had no effect, or made things worse for 90% of the participants, while 33% of them developed contact dermatitis.
